Dr. Cayla Rosché is on faculty at Lawrence University Conservatory of Music. As a Fulbright Scholar in Reykjavík, she taught phonetics and continued her research on Icelandic art song at Iceland University of the Arts, culminating in a full recital of this repertory.

The scholar is expected to teach/supervise on graduate level a small group of students (2-4). This would be mainly lectures/supervision regarding equine-assisted interventions amounting to 4-6 hours each week. The scholar would also be expected to supervise and/or teach on the undergraduate level for 2-4 hours a week.

This is primarily a research grant. The recipient of this award will conduct research related to evolving Arctic security/northern security and geopolitical concerns. This research will be undertaken in Iceland and one other Nordic country, with the goal of contributing substantively to the debate on Arctic security, broadly defined, to ensure a stable and sustainable Arctic region.

The Agricultural University in Iceland (AUI) runs an M.Sc. program in the field of planning. The aim of the program is to educate skilled professionals who are competent in planning and designing the present and future built and natural environments based on the latest knowledge in the field.

Primarily a research grant, the recipient of this award will conduct Arctic-related research in Iceland. The project must be well-defined and completed within the grant period. Research projects should contribute significantly to the chosen field and must also result in peer-review publication and/or paper presented at a major international conference.

The scholar will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, with topics to be chosen by the scholar and the host collaboratively. Additional activities may include advising students conducting research in the scholar‘s field of expertise and assistance with curriculum development.

The grant is open to all disciplines. Teaching must be a significant part of the grant activity, either designated by the host or of the applicant's choosing in consultation with the host. Additional activities can be chosen in consultation with the host from among those listed.
