Dr. Germán Zarate-Sandez is an Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics and teacher trainer at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo. He first came to the United States from Argentina in 2005 as a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant at the University of Scranton, in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Steven F. Butterman is a Full Professor of Modern Languages and Literatures and director of the Portuguese Language Program at University of Miami. He was a Fulbright Scholar to Brazil, where he conducted a project on queer diasporas, working with LGBTQIA+ Brazilian citizens who have migrated to South Florida.
